Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to players developing strong opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems very similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often getting absorbed in their feelings. According to the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to create a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

Leo – Super Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Archer myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
