Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a highway in LA on Sunday, according to.
