Loyal supporters of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.
A circulating clip shows the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade flanked by supporters.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by guards.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.
This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.
"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.
Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another message on Instagram.
A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.
In videos circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.
Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it started.
The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two very different witches.
The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.
They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, winning several for outstanding attire and production design.
